Almost 9 wks, no fetus seen?!?

I am 9 wks from LMP and my gestation age is around 6 weeks. Had some spotting so I went to the er and they did a ultrasound. I saw the gestation sac, the yolk sac, but no baby and no heartbeat. My hcg is around 10,000 and I have no clue if this is normal??? I'm pretty scared and anxious to see my hcg levels in the.coming days.
