Does letting my car run idle a lot without driving damage the motor in any way shape or form?

I love to sit in my car with the air condition on and obviously the motor on too , and listen to the radio or sleep etc. So I would like to know if except using a lot of gas, is it not good for your car in any other way, because I really do it a lot. Thanks in advance.
